Auto Electrician Technician

About the role

Komatsu Australia is hiring a qualified Auto Electrician for its Welshpool PDI facility. On a 7:7 day roster, you will diagnose and repair electrical faults, carry out scheduled maintenance and support the equipment fleet, working closely with Supervisors and internal stakeholders. The role is based in Welshpool, Western Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Perform auto electrical repairs and fault-finding on equipment at Welshpool PDI
• Enter breakdown and scheduled repair information accurately into relevant systems
• Document scheduled and unscheduled component changes, including parts used, serial numbers and reasons for replacement
• Assist Supervisors during planned maintenance and shutdowns, and review daily and weekly maintenance schedules
• Maintain accurate daily timesheets and report incidents, accidents and near misses immediately
• Take part in Toolbox Talks, keep a clean 5S-compliant work area and support induction and training of new and existing team members
• Complete warehouse parts documentation accurately and on time

Required profile

• Auto Electrician trade qualification (minimum Certificate III)
• Proven experience in auto electrical maintenance and repairs
• Current unrestricted C Class driver's licence
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with a strong focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment and ongoing drug and alcohol testing
• EWP and Working at Heights tickets are desirable

Required skills

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Basic computer literacy and experience with maintenance management systems
