Australia Custody Country Head – Senior VP/Director (Sydney)

About the role

Citigroup is seeking an experienced senior professional to lead its Australia custody franchise. Based in Sydney, the Australia Custody Country Head will shape product strategy, drive revenue growth, and ensure robust risk and control frameworks across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Own and drive the product P&L, including revenue, profitability, and balance‑sheet targets.
• Define and execute the strategic roadmap for custody product development, launch, and marketing.
• Lead product differentiation and innovation initiatives to increase revenues.
• Collaborate with global partners to enhance custody capabilities and ensure seamless service delivery.
• Oversee day‑to‑day product management, client experience, and communication strategies.
• Analyze market developments in Australia and provide actionable intelligence to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Assist the Japan, Asia North & Australia Custody Head on cross‑cluster initiatives.
• Manage a team of one staff member, removing obstacles to achieve business results.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in investor or securities services, product management, or client coverage.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize quickly, and manage pressure and deadlines.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
