Audit Manager

About the role

Marsh is looking for an experienced Audit Manager to join its Internal Audit Department in Melbourne. This hybrid position requires at least three days per week in the office and involves partnering closely with Audit Directors to deliver the annual audit plan.

Key responsibilities

• Support the risk assessment process and help develop the annual audit plan.
• Lead internal audits and special projects, including interviews, testing and report preparation.
• Review work completed by audit staff to maintain high-quality deliverables.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with audit clients and present findings to Audit and Risk Committees.
• Contribute to resource planning, budget oversight and staff development, including recruiting, training and mentoring.

Required profile

• Significant experience in business, audit or accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting complex information to senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, capable of identifying and assessing risks.
• Proven project‑management skills and ability to coach and manage audit staff.

Required skills

• Sound knowledge of audit methods and internal control concepts.
• Ability to assess business and technology risks.
• Experience with data analytics and audit automation tools.
