Audit Manager – Assurance

About the role

EY is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead assurance engagements across Australia. The role involves supervising junior staff, collaborating with senior managers and partners, and delivering high‑quality audit outcomes for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate audit engagements, ensuring compliance with EY policies and professional standards.
• Manage multiple concurrent audit projects, prioritising tasks and meeting strict deadlines.
• Oversee audit risk assessment, accounting technical matters and control testing.
• Participate in client acceptance, independence reviews and professional compliance activities.
• Analyse the client’s operating, regulatory and competitive environment to identify financial‑statement risks.
• Evaluate the design and effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of audit experience in a Big 4 or second‑tier accounting firm.
• Degree in accounting or progress towards/completion of a recognised qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of IFRS and related financial‑reporting matters.
