Audit Associate / Senior Associate

About the role

Join EY's Audit team in Canberra to deliver trustworthy financial reporting for a diverse portfolio of clients. As an Associate or Senior Associate you will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining early responsibility and support to progress toward Chartered Accountant qualification.

Key responsibilities

• Lead fieldwork and manage audit engagements from planning to completion.
• Develop and maintain client relationships, providing professional advice throughout the year.
• Design and execute audit procedures, addressing audit risk and complex accounting issues such as revenue recognition and fair value accounting.
• Coach and mentor junior team members, keeping engagement leaders informed of progress and issues.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in clients' business processes and share market insights with the team.

Required profile

• Degree in accounting, finance or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess audit risk and technical accounting matters.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
• Motivation to pursue the Chartered Accountants Program.
