About the role
The Audit and Compliance Officer will apply technical expertise, professional judgement and analytical skills to identify and address tax and superannuation risks. You will work with a diverse range of taxpayers, advisers, employers and communities to support confidence in Australia's tax and superannuation systems.
Key responsibilities
- Undertake compliance activities across income tax, GST, superannuation and related matters.
- Evaluate complex information and deliver fair, consistent, evidence‑based outcomes.
- Provide specialist advice on complex issues and contribute to compliance strategies.
- Lead teams or mentor colleagues, building capability and setting priorities.
- Build trusted relationships with stakeholders and influence outcomes across the organisation.
Required profile
- Demonstrated ability to analyse tax and superannuation risks.
- Experience delivering complex casework and specialist advice.
- Leadership skills to guide teams, mentor staff and influence organisational outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with taxpayers, advisers and community groups.
