Associate Professor, Speech Pathology

About the role

Australian Catholic University (ACU) is seeking an Associate Professor in Speech Pathology for its North Sydney campus. This is a full-time, continuing, teaching and research-focused position within Speech Pathology (North Sydney) that provides leadership and makes original contributions to learning, education, scholarship and research, while enhancing the student experience. The role works closely with colleagues to improve the student experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership in the discipline of Speech Pathology and contribute to learning, education, scholarship and research.
• Coordinate courses and help develop and implement the Bachelor of Speech Pathology, delivering theoretical and clinical teaching and research.
• Work with the Head of School, Deputy Head of School, National Head of Discipline, Course Coordinators and other staff to manage the delivery of the curriculum.

Required profile

• Candidates must hold Australian work rights; permanent work rights are required for permanent or continuing roles.
• The position requires a Working with Children Check (WWCC) and/or a Working with Vulnerable People Check (WWVP) (ACT only).
• Preferred candidates must complete mandatory pre-employment declarations and background checks, including those related to gender-based violence and foreign interference.

What we offer

• Total remuneration valued at $202,272-$222,654 per year (pro rata), including a salary component of $171,352-$188,772 (pro rata) for Academic Level D, employer superannuation and annual leave loading.
• 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff.
• Annual leave loading of 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata, depending on the commencement date.
