Associate Professor / Professor of Education Data & Evidence

About the role

The Institute for Learning Sciences & Teacher Education (ILSTE) at ACU is seeking an Associate Professor or Professor to lead and expand its research and engagement in education data and evidence. This senior academic position will be based at one of ACU's Brisbane, North Sydney, Strathfield or Melbourne campuses, with hybrid flexibility.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to ILSTE’s research agenda and external engagement.
• Produce high‑quality research, secure competitive grants, and attract HDR students.
• Advance research‑based teaching and supervise postgraduate research.
• Develop partnerships with industry, government and other stakeholders on data, evidence and emerging technologies such as GenAI.
• Strategically promote ILSTE and the Faculty of Education and Arts in line with the university’s mission.

Required profile

• Established record of scholarly research in education data, evidence or related fields.
• Experience in attracting and supervising HDR students and obtaining research funding.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across campuses and with external partners.
• Alignment with ACU’s strategic goals and commitment to research excellence.

• Total remuneration pro‑rated between AUD 202,272 – AUD 260,037 per annum, including superannuation and leave loading.
