Associate Professor in Occupational Therapy

About the role

UniSC is seeking an Associate Professor in Occupational Therapy for its School of Health at the Sunshine Coast campus. The role combines teaching, research and community engagement, with an established research profile, leadership and mentorship of colleagues, and strong professional networks across the occupational therapy sector locally and nationally. It is a full-time, ongoing appointment.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate national standing in teaching, research or engagement, contributing to UniSC's reputation.
• Lead impactful research, secure external funding, mentor researchers and advance the discipline nationally and internationally.
• Deliver excellent teaching, develop innovative curricula and inspire students and colleagues.
• Build industry, government and community partnerships and contribute to university development, governance and academic culture.

Required profile

• A respected academic with a strong track record in research, commitment to student success and leadership qualities.
• An established research profile with high-quality outputs, demonstrated research impact, successful HDR supervision and external recognition.
• Proven research leadership, including mentoring emerging researchers and building research capability.
• Experience in research-led curriculum development and improving learning and teaching practices.
• Extensive experience in academic administration and in building regional, national and international partnerships.
