Associate Lecturer in Early Childhood & Primary Education

About the role

Southern Cross University is seeking an Associate Lecturer to contribute to the Faculty of Education by delivering student‑centred teaching, developing innovative curricula, and advancing research in initial teacher education.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging teaching across face‑to‑face, blended and online modes using contemporary learning technologies.
• Design and develop innovative curriculum resources and practices that enhance student learning.
• Conduct research and scholarship, contributing to publications, grant applications and collaborative projects aligned with Faculty priorities.
• Participate in professional and community connections, Faculty activities and academic service.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic academic with a passion for initial teacher education and inclusive learning experiences.
• PhD/Professional Doctorate (or significant progress) in Education or related discipline, plus an initial teacher education degree.
• Demonstrated experience in innovative university teaching and curriculum design.
• Developing research and teaching scholarship profile, including publications and grant applications.
• Strong communication, collaboration skills and commitment to cultural diversity, equity and workplace health and safety.

What we offer

• Full‑time permanent position at Coffs Harbour, Gold Coast or Lismore campuses with relocation assistance.
• Base salary $83,458‑$112,174 per annum plus 17% superannuation, total remuneration up to $131,244.
