Associate Director – Architecture (NSQEP)

About the role

As an Associate Director – Architecture (NSQEP) you will lead architectural design and delivery for complex defence, research and nuclear infrastructure projects in Adelaide. You will guide multidisciplinary teams to ensure safety, regulatory compliance and operational performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and delivery of complex defence, research and nuclear infrastructure projects.
• Provide design leadership across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring high‑quality coordinated outcomes.
• Oversee outputs that meet nuclear safety requirements, regulatory approvals and project governance.
• Act as trusted advisor to clients, stakeholders and partners throughout all project phases.
• Mentor and develop architecture team members while fostering a collaborative culture.

Required profile

• Accredited degree in Architecture with nuclear/defence experience.
• 10–15 years’ experience in architecture, including leadership on complex safety‑critical projects.
• Demonstrated experience delivering projects in highly regulated environments, preferably nuclear or defence.
• Strong understanding of nuclear safety frameworks, defence design requirements and government standards.
• Australian citizenship (or AUKUS clearance) required.
