Associate Cost Manager

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Associate Cost Manager to join its Real Estate team in Brisbane. You will lead end‑to‑end cost management for a diverse portfolio of commercial, residential, mixed‑use and urban regeneration projects, acting as the primary client interface.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cost management across real estate development projects, from feasibility to post‑completion.
• Prepare and manage cost plans, estimates, procurement and tender processes.
• Oversee post‑contract activities including cost reporting, valuations and change control.
• Monitor financial performance, forecast budgets and manage resources.
• Build strong relationships with clients, developers and stakeholders.
• Support business development through bids and market opportunities.
• Mentor junior team members and drive process improvements.

Required profile

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Property or related discipline.
• MRICS, AIQS or equivalent professional qualification (or working towards).
• 6–11 years’ experience in cost management or quantity surveying, preferably on real‑estate or property developments.
• Proven experience delivering consultancy services on medium to large‑scale commercial, residential or mixed‑use projects.
• Strong understanding of the full real‑estate development lifecycle and construction procurement routes.
