Associate and Senior Associate - Audit, Financial Services

About the role

EY is recruiting Audit professionals at Associate and Senior Associate level for its Financial Services Audit teams, based in Melbourne and Sydney. You will help clients meet their reporting requirements by accurately reporting on financial statements and giving insight into accounting and reporting matters. Roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours.

Key responsibilities

• Manage audit processes, considering audit risk and accounting technical matters such as revenue, financial instruments and income taxes
• Engage clients and give advice and professionalism throughout transactions, including identifying improvements to their business processes
• Share knowledge of market trends and processes to help develop junior colleagues
• Coach and mentor junior team members and keep engagement leaders updated on audit engagements
• Refer clients to colleagues in other teams and areas to broaden business relationships

Required profile

• Proven experience as an auditor delivering external audit and assurance engagements in the financial services industry
• Experience leading the planning, execution and reporting of audits
• Track record of building and maintaining client relationships
• Degree and/or progress towards or completion of a recognised accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent)

Required skills

• Ideally experience with accounting frameworks (IFRS) and related financial reporting matters
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills and a collaborative approach to management

• Salary of AUD 75,000 to AUD 112,000 inclusive of superannuation, depending on skills, experience and location
