Assistant to the Service Manager

About the role

An automotive service business in Melbourne's inner city is looking for an Assistant to the Service Manager. The customer has built a strong reputation in its automotive niche with a talented, highly sought-after team, and this is an opportunity for someone passionate about automotive to take the next step in their customer service, admin or service career.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and manage the end-to-end service experience
• Schedule and confirm service appointments, keeping the daily workflow efficient
• Liaise with internal teams, monitor job progress and update production schedules
• Prepare and complete documentation, schedules and updates, and keep systems up to date
• Follow up consistently and maintain strong customer relationships
• Liaise with external suppliers, book in work, follow up stock and handle customer enquiries
• Work as part of a cohesive team supporting other departments

Required profile

• Must have automotive industry experience, such as a service advisor, claims, workshop or parts interpreter role
• Prior experience as a Service Advisor or similar is advantageous but not essential
• Current driver's licence and police check required
