About the role

Ampol is looking for an Assistant Store Manager in Kalgoorlie to help manage day-to-day store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The role supports, coaches and motivates the store team and fosters a collaborative work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service, answering inquiries and resolving complaints
• Monitor stock levels, manage inventory, place orders and keep the store well-stocked and organised
• Focus on profitability while managing costs, expenses and waste
• Work in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment and balance competing priorities
• Bring the convenience retail strategy to life

Required profile

• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
• Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster, including nights and weekends

Required skills

• Ability to operate a POS and handle cash accurately
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
