Assistant Relationship Manager

About the role

The Assistant Relationship Manager will partner with a Relationship Credit Manager to conduct thorough credit assessments for Specialist Industries customers. This permanent, full‑time position is based at 242 Pitt Street, Sydney, and supports the bank’s commitment to customer‑centric solutions and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a well‑managed portfolio that complies with all relevant policies and procedures.
• Control workflows across compliance and customer fulfilment processes.
• Act in the best interest of customers, applying a customer‑centric approach.
• Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of customer business and financial needs.
• Provide appropriate solutions for account maintenance and simple customer requests.
• Support the management of a portfolio of specialist customers.
• Collaborate with product partners and other stakeholders to fulfil customer needs.
• Engage specialist teams when required.

Required profile

• Customer solutioning: understand client needs and recommend relevant products or services.
• Credit analysis: assess customers’ ability to meet credit obligations using qualitative and quantitative factors.
• Relationship management: build, maintain and influence relationships for mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Compliance and policy management: interpret laws, rules and standards to create and manage policies and procedures.
• Data analysis: collect, profile and analyse data to inform decisions.
