Assistant Manager – External Audit

About the role

Join Nexia Edwards Marshall as an Assistant Manager in our Audit & Assurance Services division. You will support analysts in delivering high‑quality external financial audits while developing your technical expertise and client‑facing skills.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, executing, and finalising external financial audits.
• Prepare and present audit findings and reports to partners and clients.
• Develop and maintain relationships with a diverse portfolio of clients.
• Take ownership of selected audit engagements to build technical excellence.
• Travel locally, intrastate or interstate as required.

Required profile

• Completed CA or CPA qualification, with at least three years of external audit experience in an Australian accounting practice.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting.
• Strong written and oral English communication skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
• High level of technical audit knowledge; experience with manufacturing, retail, transport or large NFP clients is an advantage.
