Assistant Manager - Caloundra Hotel

About the role

The Caloundra Hotel is looking for an Assistant Manager to join its leadership group during the summer holiday rush. The role is hands-on and supportive of the Publican, helping to set the culture and standards of the hotel's flagship pub. It is a full-time position based in Caloundra, Queensland.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely and with a great atmosphere.
• Learn the role of a Publican while leading a team of hospitality staff.
• Anticipate problems and handle issues before they become bigger.
• Deliver the energy, service and smiles every shift.
• Perform manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties, such as moving stock, kegs and deliveries.

Required profile

• Experience working behind the bar, bistro or gaming room, and some prior supervising.
• Confidence, pride and strong people skills to represent the pub when the boss is away.
• A current RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Managers Licence as required by state regulations.
• Ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.
