Cook - Early Childhood Centre

About the role

Campbelltown & K (C&K) North Caloundra Community Child Care Centre is looking for a dedicated Cook to prepare healthy, nutritious meals for young children in a warm, welcoming early childhood environment. The position is a part-time permanent role, Monday to Friday, 4.5 hours per day (22.5 hours per week), with no weekend, evening or public holiday work and a consistent weekly roster.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and prepare nutritious, age-appropriate meals and snacks
• Cater for dietary, allergy and cultural requirements
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen
• Manage food ordering, stock rotation and kitchen budgets
• Ensure compliance with food safety, health and hygiene standards
• Work closely with the centre team to support children's wellbeing

Required profile

• A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or related discipline) and a Quality Food Supervisor Certificate are ideal, but unqualified applicants with experience are considered
• Valid Blue Card and current Police Check
• Completion of the National Child Safety Training Foundation Certificate
• Commitment to child safety policies and procedures

What we offer

• Wage of $33.45 - $38.92 per hour plus superannuation
• Subsidised early childhood education and care qualification through C&K College for eligible students
