Assistant Ginner – Production & Maintenance

About the role

The Assistant Ginner will support safe and efficient operation of the gin at our Emerald site, ensuring production continuity and high‑quality output. This full‑time position may involve occasional travel to other LDC gin locations as required.

Key responsibilities

• Operate gin equipment safely and monitor production processes.
• Maintain the physical appearance and cleanliness of the site.
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to minimise downtime.
• Supervise staff performing maintenance and production tasks.
• Assist with work‑permit administration for high‑risk activities.

Required profile

• Mechanical experience or a trade background.
• Ability to identify process weaknesses and implement best practices.
• Self‑starter who can work independently and take initiative.
• Strong work ethic, team orientation and effective communication with all levels of staff and external stakeholders.
