Assistant Financial Adviser

About the role

A financial advisory business with 16 offices across NSW, VIC and QLD is recruiting an Assistant Financial Adviser in Shepparton. The role supports experienced advisers across all aspects of financial advice while developing you into a qualified Financial Adviser through a structured career pathway of hands-on experience, mentoring and professional development. No previous financial planning experience is required.

Key responsibilities

• Assist advisers in preparing financial advice and client strategies
• Research superannuation, investment, insurance and retirement planning solutions
• Prepare client meeting documentation and follow-up correspondence
• Attend client meetings and take meeting notes
• Liaise with clients, product providers and external stakeholders
• Support the implementation of financial advice recommendations
• Learn compliance and regulatory requirements

Required profile

• Genuine interest in financial advice and helping clients achieve their goals
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline (desirable, not essential)
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn and strong work ethic

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with attention to detail and organisation
