About the role
A recruitment firm is looking for a motivated CPA/CA accountant based in Shepparton, Victoria. The role covers preparing quarterly BAS and IAS for small and medium business clients, as well as SMSF tax returns and financial statements.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements and tax returns
- Liaise with the ATO and auditors on queries
- Prepare SMSF trust deeds and SMSF set-up documents
- Carry out research and draft tax advice
- Work directly with clients, so strong communication skills are essential
Required profile
- At least 3-4 years' experience in a similar role
- Experience preparing tax returns for companies, partnerships, trusts, SMSFs and individuals
- CA/CPA qualified or currently completing
- Strong technical and organisational skills, time management and a dedicated work ethic
- High energy, flexibility across assignments and ability to learn quickly
