Assistant Accountant

About the role

Voyages Tourism Australia is seeking a highly organised, process‑driven accounting professional with hospitality and tourism finance experience to join our Finance Team in Sydney. You will support accurate financial reporting, month‑end processes and the day‑to‑day management of accounting operations across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Perform booking system reconciliations to ensure accurate integration of financial information into Business Central and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with month‑end close activities, including preparation and posting of journals, accruals, pre‑payments and other accounting adjustments.
• Prepare and maintain balance‑sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving outstanding items promptly.
• Support daily finance operations such as bank reconciliations.

Required profile

• Prior experience as an Assistant Accountant.
• CA/CPA qualified or working towards qualification.
• Experience with Business Central accounting system.
• Familiarity with Opera Property Management System, Shiji POS and Rezdy (preferred).
