Assistant Accountant – Accounts Payable

About the role

Join a dynamic international organisation with a collaborative finance team and an inclusive culture. This temporary Assistant Accountant role supports a growing business undergoing process improvements and automation.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end Accounts Payable function, including invoice entry and supplier record maintenance in Oracle NetSuite.
• Prepare and execute payment runs and manage the AP inbox and supplier enquiries.
• Process employee expenses and monthly reimbursements.
• Update weekly cash balances and perform weekly bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations and support month‑end close activities.
• Assist with the transition to a newly implemented OCR system.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an Assistant Accountant or in an Accounts Payable role.
• Strong end‑to‑end AP experience and exposure to month‑end accounting processes.
• Experience preparing bank and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Attention to detail, strong organisational skills and ability to work independently.
• Available to start on short notice.

Required skills

• Oracle NetSuite (highly regarded).
