Asset Management Finance and Insurance Officer (12‑Month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

The City of Bunbury is seeking an Asset Management Finance and Insurance Officer on a 12‑month maximum term contract. You will join the Assets Team to support infrastructure asset accounting, data management and the city’s insurance programme while working in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records for infrastructure assets.
• Manage and update asset data within relevant systems.
• Coordinate the City’s insurance activities, including policy administration and claims handling.
• Prepare timely financial reports and respond to insurance‑related queries.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with asset management policies.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and effective communication skills.
• Completion of, or significant progress toward, a Diploma in Accounting or Asset Management, or equivalent experience in infrastructure financial management.
• Experience in local government is not mandatory.
