Artwork Proofreader (Part‑time, Fixed‑term)

About the role

Lush is seeking an experienced Artwork Proofreader to join its Production Support team on a part‑time, six‑month fixed‑term basis. You will work closely with Purchasing and Buying colleagues to ensure all packaging artwork complies with Australian regulations before it goes to print.

Key responsibilities

• Cross‑check packaging labels for mandatory information such as ingredient lists, net weight, volume and ACCC‑required claims.
• Identify and validate environmental “green” claims and product benefit statements with internal stakeholders.
• Proofread artwork for spelling, grammar and consistency.
• Review locally updated content to confirm accuracy of recycled‑material and other packaging claims.
• Collaborate with internal teams to finalise artwork on schedule.

Required profile

• Self‑starter with the ability to hit the ground running.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to compliance risks.
• Excellent written English, spelling and grammar.

Required skills

• Experience proofreading packaging or labels in cosmetics or a similar Australian industry.
• Solid understanding of Australian Consumer Law (ACCC) requirements for product labelling and advertising.
• Ability to recognise and assess green claims and product benefit statements.
