Area Manager - Pet Aftercare Collections

About the role

Mayday Recruitment is recruiting an Area Manager for a leading pet aftercare provider based in Bayswater, Australia. The role is the face of the business in its region, collecting pets from veterinary clinics and families and returning ashes after cremation services. It suits someone who enjoys being on the road, building relationships and delivering compassionate customer service, and is advertised as a casual position.

Key responsibilities

• Collect pets from veterinary clinics and private residences.
• Return ashes to families and veterinary clinics.
• Handle pets with dignity, care and respect at all times.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with veterinary clinics.
• Provide compassionate and professional customer service to pet owners.
• Manage daily collection and delivery schedules.
• Maintain accurate records and update system information.
• Keep company vehicles maintained to a high standard.
• Support the wider operations team where required and represent the business professionally in the community.

Required profile

• Background in customer service, relationship management, courier or delivery driving, logistics, field service, veterinary clinics, vet nursing, animal care, community services or similar; industry experience is not essential.
• Current unrestricted driver's licence.
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 25kg.
• Comfortable driving throughout the day and supporting families during difficult times.
