Area Manager – NSW Retail Network

About the role

Amer Sports is seeking an Area Manager for its Salomon brand to lead and coach store managers across New South Wales and Queensland. Based in Sydney, you will ensure a unique retail experience that reflects the Salomon spirit.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and embed Salomon values, building an engaged team of Store Managers who act as brand ambassadors.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase foot traffic, sales and customer loyalty across the store network.
• Recruit, train and develop Store Managers, fostering a high‑energy, customer‑obsessed environment.
• Oversee new store openings and related projects to ensure seamless launches.
• Drive performance across people and customer initiatives, focusing on continuous improvement and financial outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, health & safety standards and ensure consistent execution of marketing campaigns.

Required profile

• Proven multi‑site retail leadership experience, preferably in senior store or area management roles.
• Demonstrated success delivering commercial performance, KPI targets and people leadership across multiple locations.
• Experience developing Store Managers, managing operational and compliance standards, and delivering a premium customer experience.
• Strong track record of hitting sales targets and driving store performance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with customers and team members.
• Hands‑on, proactive approach with ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting.
• Passion for outdoor sports and deep understanding of the Salomon brand and products.
• Data‑driven decision‑making ability, turning insights into action.
