APS6 Planner – Safeguarding Advisory Support

About the role

Randstad is recruiting an experienced and analytical APS6 planner to support a Federal Government agency in Robina, Queensland. The role supports the Safeguarding Advisory Team by assessing complex risks, giving evidence-based recommendations and guiding staff on intervention pathways. It is a full-time, Monday to Friday position running from January 2027 to 31 December 2027, paid $61.86 per hour plus super, with the possibility of extension. Candidates must be Australian citizens.

Key responsibilities

• Gather information, identify risks and assess complex and sensitive participant circumstances
• Provide clear, specialised written and verbal safeguarding advice, recommendations and options to internal staff
• Facilitate discussions that give guidance and pathways for participants needing safeguarding interventions
• Support urgent, short-term participant interventions under a dedicated case management model
• Interpret legislation, policy and procedures to achieve positive participant outcomes
• Coach and mentor team members and monitor capacity and workflow
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement of service delivery, processes and guidance materials

Required profile

• Previous experience in human services, disability, statutory support or complex client service is highly regarded
• Proven ability to assess complex information, identify risks and develop evidence-based recommendations
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and strong stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to make defensible decisions within legislative, policy and procedural frameworks
• Must pass pre-employment screening, including a National Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check
• No qualifications required

Required skills

• Knowledge of the NDIS operating environment, participant safeguarding principles or CRM/PACE systems is highly desirable
• Experience contributing to operational guidance, frameworks, procedures or training materials is advantageous
