Application Support Specialist

About the role

Marsh is looking for an Application Support Specialist to join its Application Management Services team in Sydney. This hybrid position requires at least three days per week in the office and focuses on Level 1 and Level 2 support for critical business applications.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for a portfolio of business applications, investigating and resolving complex issues.
• Support day‑to‑day operation, monitoring, maintenance and administration of applications and services.
• Lead and coordinate support activities, including workload allocation, cross‑skilling and mentoring of team members.
• Maintain accurate support documentation and knowledge articles.
• Participate in local and global IT projects, system enhancements, user access and change management activities.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies, audit requirements and best‑practice support processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related discipline.
• ITIL Foundation certification.
• 5+ years experience in Level 1/Level 2 application support.
• 1–2 years experience in team management or leadership.
• Experience in project, user access and change management.
• Hands‑on experience with Oracle and MongoDB databases.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Power Query.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
