Application Support Manager

About the role

Macquarie's team supports a range of cloud-based banking applications that help customers manage their accounts, payments and loans, working closely with engineering and product teams to deliver reliable services and resolve customer issues quickly. This permanent, full-time, mid-level role in Sydney involves providing technical support for banking applications and helping customers resolve issues through support requests.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and troubleshoot application problems and help customers resolve issues through support requests
• Work with engineering teams to address root causes
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of support processes, monitoring and documentation

Required profile

• 6 years' experience in application support
• Experience supporting cloud-based applications, ideally on AWS or Google Cloud Platform
• Knowledge of internet, networking and application support concepts, with experience in technical support or help desk environments
• Strong communication skills, able to manage support requests, share knowledge and work with a roster-based team

Required skills

• Strong application troubleshooting and debugging skills, including experience with Java
• Cloud application support (AWS or Google Cloud Platform)
