Ancillary Operator (Level 2) - Open Cut Mining

About the role

Evolution Mining's Cowal Gold Operations is hiring an Ancillary Operator within its Open Cut Mining team. You will operate heavy equipment such as dozers, excavators, graders and water carts to help meet daily and weekly production targets, working as part of a high-performing crew. The role is based in West Wyalong, NSW, and truck operation is required when advised.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain pit conditions, including haul road construction and maintenance, windrow/bunding construction to site standards, stockpile management and clean-up, drainage management and dewatering support
• Complete assigned tasks from Dispatch/Production on time
• Carry out pre-start inspections and report hazards or equipment faults
• Follow site safety, environmental and compliance policies
• Help production teams with dig face preparation, floor cleaning and ROM management
• Ensure safe interaction with heavy haulage and light vehicle fleets
• Use Minestar GPS systems and keep logs and documentation accurate

Required profile

• At least 18 months of open-pit mining or quarry production experience
• Valid Australian manual motor vehicle licence
• Ability to work a panelled roster and to relocate to West Wyalong
• Experience with dozer, excavator, grader or water cart operation
• Ability to relocate to West Wyalong

Required skills

• Desirable: experience using the CAT Minestar GPS system
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Strong work ethic, time management and safety focus
