Analyst / Senior Analyst – Indirect Tax

About the role

Join RSM Australia as an Analyst or Senior Analyst focusing on indirect tax. You will work on a variety of domestic compliance, advisory and research projects for a diverse client base, applying commercial and analytical skills to interpret legislation and deliver practical advice.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with indirect tax compliance, advisory and consultancy services across multiple matters.
• Research case law, legislation and revenue authority guidance.
• Analyse client data to identify practical solutions and support client relationship management.
• Manage workflows, time budgets and work‑in‑progress, and contribute to risk assessment and quality control.
• Provide guidance to junior team members and contribute to internal training (Senior Analyst level).

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Commerce or Finance with an Accounting major (essential).
• CA qualification commenced or nearing completion, or willingness to commence.
• 1+ years experience for Analyst level or 2+ years in indirect tax for Senior Analyst level.
• Strong written and verbal communication, high attention to detail and analytical mindset.
