Analyst / Senior Analyst – Indirect Tax

About the role

Join RSM Australia as an Analyst or Senior Analyst focusing on indirect tax. You will work on a variety of domestic compliance, advisory and research projects for a diverse client base, applying commercial and analytical skills to deliver high‑quality advice.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with indirect tax compliance, advisory and consultancy services across a range of matters.
• Research relevant case law, legislation and revenue authority guidance.
• Analyse client data to identify practical solutions.
• Support client relationship management and identify opportunities for additional services.
• Manage workflows, time budgets and work‑in‑progress.
• Contribute to internal training and team development; senior analysts guide junior team members.

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Commerce or Finance with an Accounting major (essential).
• CA qualification commenced or nearing completion, or willingness to commence.
• 1+ years experience for Analyst level or 2+ years in indirect tax for Senior Analyst level.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and high attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
