Senior Analyst – External Audit, Financial Services

About the role

Deloitte is seeking a Senior Analyst to lead external audit engagements within its Financial Services practice in Brisbane. You will mentor junior staff, ensure audit quality, and help innovate audit offerings for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Senior in Charge on external audit engagements for wealth management, superannuation, insurance and banking clients.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of regulations, standards and leading practice to uphold audit quality.
• Contribute to the development of new, innovative audit services beyond traditional reporting.
• Collaborate with a broad portfolio of clients, addressing complex accounting issues and varied business environments.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in external audit, preferably within Financial Services.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Commerce or a related field; CA qualification (or near completion) required.
• Experience in a Big 4 or mid‑tier professional services firm is preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, project management and multitasking abilities.
