Airport Refueller Trainee

About the role

Ampol is recruiting a permanent part-time Airport Refueller Trainee at Sydney Airport for someone motivated and looking for a career change, with an interest in aviation operations and refuelling. The role involves driving on the tarmac and refuelling aircraft alongside other operations, with a focus on safety and compliance. A 6- to 8-week extensive training program covers both practical and theoretical knowledge.

Key responsibilities

• Understand thoroughly the procedures for refuelling tasks
• Carry out pre-shift or pre-start inspections and record and document them as required
• Follow procedures and safety requirements
• Keep minor vehicles and equipment well presented and maintained in a timely way
• Perform routine quality checks
• Operate in line with company policies, airport legislation and safe working principles, with awareness of workplace hazards

Required profile

• Can-do attitude and high attention to detail
• Strong knowledge and experience of safe working principles
• A current MR licence is desirable
