Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical

About the role

Boeing Defence Australia is recruiting an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) for its Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services Capability at RAAF Base Amberley, on the MQ-28 Ghost Bat program. The MQ-28 is an uncrewed teaming aircraft designed to reduce risk to crewed assets, and is the first aircraft conceived, designed and manufactured outside the US for Boeing in Australia in over 50 years. The role may involve travel and periods away from home.

Required profile

• Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical)
• Understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures and regulations
• Australian citizenship, to hold or obtain an Australian NV1 Defence security clearance
• C class driver's licence
• Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with stakeholders
• Willingness to undergo the Government security clearance vetting (Negative Vetting 1) sponsored by BDA, with full background disclosure and verification

Required skills

• Knowledge of environmental, health and safety procedures (desirable)
• Working knowledge of computer-based maintenance management systems (desirable)
