AI Governance Lead

About the role

Zurich is seeking an AI Governance Lead to shape responsible AI practices across the organisation. You will design and operationalise a scalable AI governance framework that balances innovation with risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and continuously enhance Zurich’s enterprise AI Governance Framework, standards and controls.
• Embed responsible AI principles across the full lifecycle of AI solutions.
• Identify, assess and monitor AI risks, including privacy, security, fairness, explainability and model governance.
• Design scalable, risk‑based governance pathways that enable teams to innovate with appropriate oversight.
• Automate governance, assurance, monitoring and reporting activities to improve consistency and efficiency.
• Provide trusted advice and clear reporting to business leaders, delivery teams, executives and governance forums.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience designing and operationalising AI governance frameworks, controls and oversight processes.
• Strong knowledge of AI risk management, privacy, cyber security, model governance and relevant regulatory obligations.
• Sound understanding of generative AI, machine learning, agentic AI and emerging technology risks.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and collaborate with Legal, Privacy, Compliance, Risk, Data and Technology teams.
• Strong analytical capability, sound judgement and experience improving governance through automation.
