AI & Data Senior Consultant (Sydney)

About the role

Deloitte’s AI & Data team helps businesses leverage cloud‑native technologies to solve complex data, machine learning and AI challenges. You will work with leading technology partners to design and implement AI strategies that drive productivity and create measurable business value.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement client AI and data strategies, including Agentic roadmaps and cloud‑native solutions.
• Reframe client conversations around demonstrable AI‑enabled value and ensure proposals contain bold, outcome‑changing ideas.
• Collaborate with technology partners such as AWS, Microsoft, Google, Databricks, Snowflake and Informatica to deliver scalable solutions.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in data and/or machine‑learning engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with Python or SQL (dbt highly regarded) and advanced SQL/database skills.
• Strong grasp of data fundamentals, including databases, data warehouses, data lakes and data modelling.
• Practical experience on at least one major hyperscaler platform (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Databricks, Snowflake).
• Previous consulting or client‑facing experience and excellent communication skills.
