Agronomist – Drip Irrigation Specialist

About the role
The Agronomist will champion drip‑irrigation agronomy across Australia, supporting growers, dealers and internal teams to maximise water efficiency and crop performance.
Key responsibilities
- Promote agronomic principles of drip irrigation to extension officers, co‑ops, fertilizer and private agronomists.
- Manage and monitor field trials, from design through to reporting, to validate drip‑irrigation performance.
- Provide technical advice on system design, spacing, scheduling and fertigation during client visits.
- Collaborate with sales staff, research institutes, government bodies and fertilizer companies to drive market adoption.
- Represent Netafim Australia at seminars, symposiums and conferences, and produce written summaries of activities.
Required profile
- Demonstrated experience in agronomy, crop advisory or technical agriculture roles.
- Hands‑on experience with irrigation agronomy, crop water management and soil‑plant‑water principles.
- Experience working directly with growers and supporting agronomic decision‑making.
- Tertiary qualification in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, Horticulture or related discipline.
