Agitator Truck Driver (Sydney Metro)

About the role

Heidelberg Materials is looking for Agi drivers to deliver quality concrete to customers across the Sydney Metro region. The work is described as more than point-to-point driving: each day is different, and drivers are the friendly, reliable face of the business, helping keep major local projects moving. The position is full-time, with most rostered days starting between 5 and 6 am.

Key responsibilities

• Drive a concrete agitator truck (Agi) and deliver concrete to customers in the Sydney Metro area.
• Interact with many different people every day, acting as a customer service agent on wheels.
• Keep the truck clean and presentable, as it is a mobile billboard for the company.
• Follow safety rules, including the fact that some trucks have driver weight limits on seats and seatbelts.

Required profile

• Minimum HR licence (essential); previous HR driving experience preferred.
• Current valid Construction White Card, or willingness to obtain one before starting.
• Able to pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol test; random testing is also conducted on all Heidelberg sites.
• Enjoys meeting people and prefers variety in work.
• Must be able to pass the weight limit requirement for some trucks.

• Base hourly rate of $33.51, paid weekly, with overtime at time and a half after 8 hours and double time plus meal allowance after 10 hours.
