About the role

The Advanced Trainee position in General Medicine offers a unique opportunity to work in a premier tertiary teaching hospital in Darwin, Northern Territory. You will be part of an accredited RACP training programme, gaining exposure to a broad spectrum of tropical and Indigenous health conditions while progressing toward Fellowship.

Key responsibilities

• Provide acute general medical care to a diverse inpatient population.
• Manage complex multisystem diseases, infectious and tropical illnesses.
• Participate in Indigenous health initiatives and rural outreach services.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across multiple specialties.
• Engage in procedural training, clinical decision‑making and teaching activities.

Required profile

• Medical degree with eligibility for RACP Advanced Training.
• Commitment to delivering high‑acuity inpatient care.
• Interest in tropical, remote and Indigenous health.
• Willingness to work in a consultant‑led, supportive environment.
