Advanced Maintenance Officer

About the role

The Advanced Maintenance Officer will be responsible for routine maintenance and grounds work to keep the aged care facility or retirement village in excellent condition. You will interact with residents and external contractors, ensuring all work complies with Australian standards and health‑safety protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake general building maintenance, gardening and repairs such as installing doors, shelves, and designing garden layouts.
• Maintain cleanliness, functionality and presentation of gardens and common areas.
• Communicate with customers to ensure services meet expectations and address any issues.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve plumbing, electrical and general upkeep needs.

Required profile

• Moderate experience as a Maintenance Officer.
• Certificate III in Engineering or Parks and Gardening.
• Strong knowledge of workplace safety and health principles.
• Proficiency in facilities maintenance, repair techniques, plant operations and OHS standards.
