ADF Rehabilitation Consultant (Part-Time)

About the role

Acumen Health is recruiting an ADF Rehabilitation Consultant to join a national team delivering occupational rehabilitation for ADF personnel who have sustained a physical and/or psychological injury. The role is based at RAAF Base Edinburgh, takes a holistic, person-centred approach and works within a multidisciplinary team. It is a part-time position with set working hours, no overtime and no work outside those hours.

Key responsibilities

• Support injured ADF personnel through a journey from rehab to healing, using clinical reasoning and a holistic care approach.
• Develop, implement and monitor occupational rehabilitation plans.
• Collaborate with the injured employee, medical specialists, other treatment providers and allied health professionals.
• Perform assessments such as worksite, ergonomic or activities of daily living assessments, depending on clinical expertise.
• Work to KPIs based on service delivery outcomes rather than billable hours, with genuine person-centred focus and goal setting.

Required profile

• Current unrestricted registration or membership with the relevant industry body (AHPRA, ESSA, ASORC or AASW).
• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Nursing, Osteopathy or Social Work.
• At least one year of clinical work experience, with professional registration appropriate to the qualification.
• Australian citizenship.
• Occupational rehabilitation experience is highly regarded.
• Ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams.
