ADF Rehabilitation Consultant

About the role

Acumen Health is recruiting an ADF Rehabilitation Consultant to join its national team supporting Australian Defence Force personnel who have sustained a physical and/or psychological injury. The role is based at HMAS Stirling in Garden Island, with a holistic, person-centred approach within a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Apply clinical reasoning to support injured ADF personnel on their journey from rehab to healing
• Perform a range of assessments such as worksite, ergonomic and activities of daily living assessments, depending on clinical expertise
• Collaborate with the injured person, medical specialists, other treatment providers and allied health professionals
• Develop, implement and monitor rehabilitation plans
• Work to KPIs based on service delivery outcomes rather than billable hours

Required profile

• Current unrestricted registration or membership with the relevant industry body (AHPRA, ESSA, ASORC or AASW)
• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Nursing, Osteopathy or Social Work
• Australian citizenship
• At least one year of clinical work experience, registered in your chosen profession
• Twelve months of occupational rehabilitation experience
