Addiction Psychiatrist – Consultant

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a new project and multidisciplinary team at a major Perth mental health service as a Consultant in Addiction Psychiatry. You will lead a team delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred care in both inpatient and outpatient detoxification settings.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary team and provide clinical leadership to nursing and medical staff.
• Deliver comprehensive care for patients undergoing detoxification in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Educate and mentor junior doctors, and participate in research and service improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to teaching, quality improvement and clinical governance activities.

Required profile

• FRANZCP or UK training completed to satisfy accelerated pathways, or comparable RANZCP outcome.
• Significant experience in addictions psychiatry.
• Demonstrated leadership, commitment to patient‑centred care and continuous professional development.
