Accounts & Administration Officer (Casual, Immediate Start)

About the role

Fox Personnel has been engaged by a client to recruit an Accounts & Administration Officer to provide immediate short-term support to the finance and operations team. This is a temporary, casual assignment starting immediately, working 4 hours per day, 5 days a week, reporting to the Finance Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices in Xero with accurate coding and GST allocation
• Manage creditors and assist with payment preparation
• Assist with payroll preparation, including checking payroll data and leave balances, and administer employee leave records
• Coordinate supplier credit applications and liaise with suppliers
• Raise monthly invoices, including market/export and co-packing where required
• Support periodic stocktakes and maintain stock accuracy
• Raise purchase orders and support production administration
• Manage general office administration and shared inboxes, and provide reception support such as answering calls and welcoming visitors

Required profile

• Proven experience in an accounts and administration role
• Able to step into an existing system with minimal supervision
• Highly organised and accurate, professional and confident communicator
• Discreet when handling confidential information

Required skills

• Strong working knowledge of Xero (essential)

What we offer

• Casual rate of $39 per hour
• Immediate commencement, 4 hours per day, Monday to Friday
• Short-term assignment with potential for extension depending on business needs
