Accounting & Reporting (A&R) Accountant

About the role

This position joins the Business Process team in Wacol, Brisbane as an Accounting & Reporting (A&R) Accountant for the ANZ region. Reporting to the A&R Manager, the role focuses on daily accounting, month‑end activities and ensuring data integrity for accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily accounting tasks and manage month‑end activities, including investigations and commentary on income and expense variations.
• Process, analyse and reconcile financial information, support balance‑sheet reconciliations and assist with budgeting.
• Prepare monthly and year‑end financial reports, meeting strict deadlines.
• Collaborate with business departments across the region, provide financial support, and liaise with external tax consultants for tax filings.
• Co‑operate with internal audit, risk controls management and the APAC GSS team in Shanghai on routine transactions.

Required profile

• Degree in accounting or equivalent.
• 3‑5 years of experience in a similar accounting capacity.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to produce clear commentary on financial variances.

Required skills

• SAP experience (preferred).
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Interest in Power BI or AI‑related analytical tools.
