Accountant – Traralgon

About the role

RGM Financial Group provides accounting and financial planning services through three offices across Gippsland. It is looking for a motivated applicant to join its Traralgon office as a full-time Accountant. Depending on experience, you will be given the chance to manage several clients, ranging from individuals to small to medium businesses in diverse industries.

Key responsibilities

• Tax compliance work
• Preparation of BASs and income tax returns
• Preparation of financial statements
• Client interaction

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• CPA or CA qualification or enrolment (preferred)
• 3 years of public practice experience (preferred)
• Unrestricted working rights in Australia
• Excellent communication and organisation skills, able to work independently and in a team

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables), Word and tax preparation software
• Australian taxation: individual tax returns, BAS preparation and GST compliance
• Cloud-based accounting software, especially Xero (at least 1 year preferred)
