Accountant – Automotive Dealership (NSW)

About the role
Auto-home is seeking an experienced Accountant to oversee the day‑to‑day finance operations of its automotive dealership in New South Wales. The role involves managing cash flow, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with Australian tax regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Perform banking, cash handling and bank reconciliations.
- Process accounts receivable invoicing and vendor payments.
- Manage vehicle payments and floorplan financing.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit & loss and balance sheet, and close month‑end.
- Ensure tax compliance, including BAS, GST, STP and superannuation obligations.
- Maintain and update the Pentana accounting system.
Required profile
- Solid accounting experience, preferably within an automotive dealership environment.
- Hands‑on experience with the Pentana accounting system.
- Strong knowledge of Australian tax compliance requirements.
- Highly organised, detail‑oriented and able to work independently.
